• Marionnettes Plein la Rue

AUGUST 27 & 28 – The Festival Marionnettes plein la rue (FMPR) will be in full swing. Entrancing puppet shows will be presented in ten outdoor spots along Promenade Wellington: the Parc des Madelinots, the Bene lux brasserie, the space in front of Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs church, and the parking lot on rue Éthel, to name just a few. There will be an impressive total of 16 groups participating in the event, for a grand total of 61 performances – more shows offering more entertainment for an ever-growing public!

The FMPR also includes a puppet-making studio, which will take place in the Parc des Madelinots on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28 at 1:00 p.m. For this event, La Coop Les ViVaces will invite 10 families each day to make a puppet during the studio, which will last approximately 2 hours 30 minutes (RSVP necessary). Moreover, festival-goers will have access at all times to the Marché des marionnettistes, a space that will allow the visitor to meet talented puppeteers in the flesh and thereby enter into their world by discovering the many stages in the creation of a puppet.

As well as being a chance to peruse the varied offerings on sale, the Festival Marionnettes plein la rue is a perfect opportunity to drink in the summer one last time as a family before the return to school. This is one festival that will be sure to stimulate your imagination in the midst of an urban landscape brimming with creativity.
