• Expo 67: A World of Dreams

APRIL 26 TO OCT. 8 – Sometimes it takes a dream. And Montréal dreamed big back in the early 1960s, big enough to be chosen as host city of North America’s first “Universal and International Exhibition” or Expo67.

In commemoration of this dream and the amazing technological innovations that accompanied it, the Stewart Museum, in partnership with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), features a brand-new exhibition on an event that struck a deep chord with Québec and the world. Presented on Île Ste-Hélène, the exhibition, which is divided into six themes, offers young and old the chance to step back in time through video mapping, virtual reality and soundscapes—and relive the excitement through immersive installations that include Habitat 67 and the Labyrinth, a precursor to the IMAX.

An outdoor guided tour of the former Expo 67 sites are also offered.
