• Canada Day around the Island

    ON JULY 1 – As with last weekend’s Fete Nationale festivities, celebrants of Canada Day don’t have to travel far from home to find fun.

    Of course, you may choose to immerse yourselves in the crowds downtown for the big parade, but the parties that are hosted in the boroughs are also good bets for family-friendly fun, food and fireworks (alliteration totally unintentional).

    Montreal Canada Day Parade:

    July 1 at 11 AM. Corner of St. Catherine and Fort.
    Parade starts from there and proceeds to Peel St. Meet up at Place du Canada afterwards from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for free music, inflatable games, face painting, activities and of course, cake.

    Canada Day Official Celebration:

    July 1 at 11 AM to 10:30 PM. Old Port of Montreal.
    A day-long celebration with food, games, entertainment and concerts, a petting zoo and ends with sparkling fireworks. You can access the site at any time, morning until night.

    Dollard:

    July 1  at the Civic Center
    Tons of activities and entertainment for all; shows and fireworks.

     Montreal West:

    July 1. Parade along Westminster Ave. Activities at Davies Park and Strathearn Park.
    BBQ, music, dancers, activities and Fireworks.

    Westmount:

    July 1 at the Westmount Park & Pool
    Starting at noon, join us for a BBQ lunch and stay for the Splash Bash with games, prizes and a Canada Day lightshow!

    Pointe Claire:

    July 1 at Bourgeau Park
    A full day of great outdoor activities and adventure, from volleyball and zip-lines to workshops and fireworks!

    Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue:

    July 1 at Legion Branch 91.
    Live DJ and music, Animation and face painting, BBQ

    Dorval:

    July 1 at Millenium Park.
    Games, inflatables, magic, dance, animations and fireworks.

    Cote St. Luc:

    July 1 at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park.

    Beaconsfield:

    July 1 at Centennial
    Inflatable games, Cross Canada mini-golf, Music, “Olympic” obstacle course, Face painting, fireworks  and more.

    Laval:

    July 1 at Centre de la Nature
    Inflatables, crafts, line dance, make-up, fireworks and more.
