• GUEPE Nature Outings

    ON JUNE 10 & 11 – This weekend, the fine folks at GUEPE (Groupe uni des éducateurs et professionels en environnement) want you to join them to learn about nature. Activities may be held in French.

    June 10 – Orientation with or without a compass?

    Free activity without registration from 12pm to 4pm at the Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse, 3555 rue Douglas.B-Floreani, Montréal.

    Many animals have to travel long distances. An educator-naturalist from GUEPE will present different means used by animals to find their way. In addition, humans have also developed tools to orient themselves. You will learn how to use a compass through a fun test.

    Go to the fields area of the nature park of the Bois-de-Liesse.

    June 11 – Question of fishing!

    Free activity for all without registration from 1pm to 4pm at Parc-nature de l’Île-de-la-Visitation, 2425 boulevard Gouin Est.

    The Rivière des Prairies is full of life and many anglers benefit! Discover at the GUEPE kiosk, the fish living in this river, the characteristics of their habitat, their predators, their conservation status and their anatomy. Meet our educator-naturalist to learn more about good fishing practices and responsible fishing, in harmony with the environment.

    Rendez-vous near the fishing site (east of the park).
