• MMFA Weekend Art Workshops

    SAT. & SUN. – Join the art educators every Saturday and/or Sunday at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to enjoy a free introduction to a unique art form workshop related to the current temporary exhibit or to one of the museum’s featured permanent collections.

    Four-handed workshop: “At the gates of the West (collage)”
    10:15 – 11:00 and 11:15 – 12:00, in English.

    A made-to-measure workshop for little ones ( ages 2 to 5) and their parents.

    In this workshop, children will create a scene inspired by Western landscapes. Passes are available starting at 10 a.m. on the day of the activity, in the Family Lounge.

    Drop-in workshop: “The whole world is a cactus (cutting and assemblage)”
    11:00 – 16:00, bilingual.

    Our most flexible activity: drop in whenever you want, anytime between 11 a.m. and 4h p.m., to enjoy this creative break for young and old alike.

    In this workshop, families will create an imaginative paper cactus. Places are limited. First come, first served.

    Thematic workshop: “Cowboy hats! (painting and assemblage)”
    13:00 – 14:00 and 14:30 – 15:30, in English

    In this workshop, families will create their own cowboy hats. Passes are available starting at 10 a.m. on the day of the activity, in the Family Lounge.
