JUNE 28 TO JULY 8 – Ranked as the world’s largest jazz festival by Guinness World Records, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal has been synonymous with a passion for music for over three decades. Welcoming 3,000 artists from 30 countries, the festival will put on more than 1,000 concerts, of which 2/3 will be free outdoor performances.

This year’s festival takes place from June 28 – July 8, 2017. In addition to the indoor concerts being performed at 15 concert halls near the downtown core, the heart of the festival is centered at the Quartier des Spectacles (metro Place des Arts).

This year, families are more important than ever at the Festival! The Rio Tinto Musical Park features a wide array of interactive activities conceived around the theme of music, in a space designed for families! Play meets technology in playful and musical installations that are fanciful and fantastic, including a giant piano, water games, a sandbox, play structures and inflatables.

The Rio Tinto Family Club welcomes kids every day from noon to 10 p.m. with Educazoo, face painting, build and play with marionettes, work with moldable wax, experience an initiation to the circus arts and Musée d’art contemporain workshops

Even more for families, every day at 11am and 1:30pm, cross over to Place Desjardins to take part in the Petit Ecole du Jazz.
