AUg. 12 – Follow the Star

Free activity without registration from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Parc-nature du Bois-de-l’Île-Bizard, 2115 chemin du Bord-du-Lac

The stars have a surprising ecological role and even as man has oriented himself for a very long time thanks to the stars, many other organisms use these lights too. Enjoy the Perseids period to discover the stars, accompanied by a GUEPE naturalist educator. Come and discover how nature is influenced by the sky in summer!

Meet near the cottage or the beach.

    Aug. 13 – Visit the Île-de-la-Visitation

Free activity without registration at 1:00pm to 2:30pm at the Maison du Pressoir, 10865 rue du Pressoir

Named the Island of Branchereau until 1750, the Île-de-la-Visitation is to be discovered. A few minutes from downtown, you find yourself in the middle of nature. There are a few rural dwellings, including those of the ice-cream dealer, the slag, the cooper, and so on. Part of the island has already hosted a golf course! A historic figure will address the history of the mill site, the Rivière des Prairies hydroelectric generating station and the drowning of Nicolas Viel, a retired father in 1625.
