    ON OCT. 21 TO 22 – This weekend, the fine folks at GUEPE (Groupe uni des éducateurs et professionels en environnement) want you to join them to learn about nature. Activities may be held in French.

    OCT. 21 – Montréal’s agricultural heritage

    Free activity without registration from 1:00pm to 4:15pm at the arc-nature du Cap Saint-Jacques, 20099 boulevard Gouin Ouest.

    Discover the historical heritage of Cap Saint-Jacques! Accompanied by different characters from yesterday to today, find out how farmers took advantage of the land at Cap Saint-Jacques. Then head off to the maple grove to observe it in its autumn splendor well before one can taste its sweet flavors …

    Meet near the general store in the ecological farm area.

    Oct. 9 – Fungi are fungi

    Free activity without registration from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse, 3555 rue Douglas-B.-Floreani.

    Mushrooms are not plants. They grow everywhere in the park, but we know them very little. Some are edible, others are toxic. Come and learn more about this animal or vegetable kingdom with a GUEPE naturalist educator!
