• Montreal Zombie Walk

ON OCT 28 – On Saturday, more than 10,000 zombies will be swarming the streets of Montréal. The worst predictions have come true and the Trouble-Fête has not relinquished its powerful grip on the city. To not incur the wrath of this creature, everyone is strongly encouraged to join this gruesome shuffle. Come already risen from the grave, or have on-site make-up artists zombify you for $15.

    Start Time:
Saturday, October 28 at 1:00pm (departure at 5:00pm)
End Time: About 6:30pm (or much later for those staying for the after-parties)
Location: Place des Festivals du Quartier des spectacles, (métro Place-des-Arts)

The zombies will be making their way west along De Maisonneuve Street, then turning onto McGill College Avenue and returning to the Place des Festivals via Sainte-Catherine Street. The walk will be interspersed with a dozen or so highly entertaining spectacles: mariachi zombies, dismembered human marionettes, a zombie military marching band and dreadfully funny floats.

Everything will wrap up with a surprise dance performance by choreographer Gardy Fury at Place des Festivals, followed by shows by PUP, Chocolat and Duchess Says!

Put on your best undead costume!

    What is a Zombie Walk?
A zombie walk is an organized public gathering of people who dress up in zombie costumes and make up. Usually taking place in an urban centre, the participants make their way around the city streets and through shopping malls in a somewhat orderly fashion and often limping and gnawing their way along.

During the event participants are encouraged to remain in character as zombies and to communicate only in a manner consistent with zombies (such as grunts, groans and slurred moans calling for “brains”.)

    Can we bring kids?
A: Everybody is welcome, although remember that some kids could be scared as they might not share the same taste for zombies as you do.
