• Youth Ski for Free with the Snow Pass

Interested in a pass to let your little one ski for (almost) free at popular ski hills throughout Quebec and across Canada? If your kids are in Grades 4 or 5, then they are eligible for the SnowPass™ – a Canadian Ski Council initiative that lets interested youngsters ski or snowboard free for three days during the season at every one of your favourite ski areas. That’s a lot of skiing!

Ski hills that honour the pass (more than 50 in Quebec) have some of their own rules about its use – varying from demanding that a paying adult accompany the child to no adult supervision required, as well as having black-out dates. Best to check the charts available on the SnowPass™ site before heading out.

To join in, you need to be in grade 4 or 5 (or 9 or 10 years old) and live in Canada. Every skier and snowboarder is welcome, especially if you’re a beginner. You only need to apply once for the SnowPass™ and it is valid until the end of grade 5. This means if you apply in grade 4 the pass is valid for two years.

Ready to apply? The season starts December 1st, and applications are currently being accepted online at https://www.skicanada.org/grade-4-5-snowpass/, ($30 application fee, no other fees).
