The most colourful parade in Montreal!

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, for its 40th edition, the Carifiesta immensely colorful parade will take over the streets of the Montreal downtown area. Over 100,000 people are expected to attend this annual carnival which gathers people of all origins in the expression of the joy and light-heartedness associated to the Caribbean people.

Vibrate and dance to the rhythm of the Latin West-Indian and afro-caribbean music! The parade will include floats decorated with the colors of the countries being represented, as well as traditional dances, exotic and picturesque costumes worn by the Carifiesta masqueraders.

Parade starts at Noon at Fort and St. Catherine and runs along St. Catherine to Phillips Square.

July 1st, 2015 was possibly the wettest, most miserable day for moving in recent memory.

Oh…, yeah… it was also a pretty awful day for Canada Day fireworks. But fret not, a few boroughs had a rain date planned, so if you decided to skip the festivities on the 1st because of weather, you can still find fun and fireworks tonight at:

Sadly, that’s it. All other sites either cancelled fireworks on the 1st or simply cancelled everything altogether.
